In the event that your Enterprise Browser experiences issues, these are the steps to fully remove, and subsequently reinstall it in order to restore proper functionality. This can be a bit of a convoluted process, so if possible, see IT Team to perform this repair. However, if you are left to perform this repair on your own. Follow this guide.
To start off with, We need to remove the current Enterprise browser to mitigate any conflictions in the repair process. To uninstall Enterprise, just long press the icon and drag it to the trash can that appears at the top of the window. Confirm removal if prompted.
To get our needed files onto the Zebra device, we have a few options. We can upload via a Bluetooth or USB-C transfer with the scanner in filesystem mode.
Pull down from the top of the screen to access dropdown menu.

Now, click " USB charging this device"
This will open a dialog box with a few options. Select "Transfer Files"
Now we will select the correct destination folder, and drag and drop/copy-paste your files directly from your PC to the Zebra Scanner.
The needed files will be located in the TechCD Network Drive under "Enterprise Browser"
( If these are not available to you, contact IT for files)
Copy these files and paste them into the directory for your Zebra device under your windows filesystem. This will usually be TC-56, TC-57, TC-20, etc.
Once the device is selected, select "Android" and then "Downloads"
If you are using Bluetooth for file transfer, Pair PC and Scanner using the below menu. (EX-1)
Ensure the Zebra device has its Bluetooth turned on via the top drop down menu. You will find the windows Bluetooth icon on the bottom right of your windows desktop.
(EX-1)
Click "Add Device" and select your Zebra Scanner from the list of devices. Alternately this can be done backwards, you can open the Bluetooth settings on the Zebra scanner and search for the PC. Both are valid methods.
Once paired, return once more to the below menu and select "send a file." You will select both the Config.XML and the EnterpriseBrowser.APK and transfer them both to your destination device.
(EX-1)
After successful file transfer, you are ready to install Enterprise Browser.
Open to the app drawer via the small up arrow on your Scanners main screen. Open the "Files" app, select your destination folder. "Bluetooth" if you used that method and "Downloads" if you used the USB-C Method. Once in your selected download folder, select EnterpriseBrowser.APK
Move through the prompts and accept the install. (Continue)
After install, return to the App drawer. long press the newly installed Enterprise Browser icon, and drag it to the far left of the screen, this will transfer it to the main page for easy access.
At this point, the app is not configured. So we need to perform a few steps to make that happen. Open Enterprise Browser, proceed normally as you would log in. Click the "cancel" button to the top right and you will be presented with this screen.
Opening the app to this point will populate a Config profile in the app directory that needs to be replaced by our version of "Config.XML" that we transferred earlier. In the following steps, we will make that swap.
Fully close all apps by clicking on the small square on the bottom right, and then hitting "Clear All"
Now that all of our apps are closed, let's open our app drawer once again and open the "Files" app. Now follow this path,
1.TC57, TC56, TC20 (Whichever model your scanner is)
2. "Android"
3. "data"
4. "com.symbol.enterprisebrowser".
2
3
4
Now find "Config.XML" Long press to select, and now delete the file by clicking on the trash icon at the top. Now that the old Config file is removed, let's head back to where we added our files. Either 'Android" then "Bluetooth", or "Your device model" (IE: TC-57) then "Downloads"
Long press the "Config.XML" file and then hit the three vertical dots on the top right to open the additional menu. Select "Copy to..."
Navigate back into the "com.symbol.enterprisebrowser" directory with your copied Config file, and paste it into the folder, making sure there are no duplicates.
This should complete the reinstall and configuration of Enterprise Browser on your Zebra Scanner.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If you experience any issues with scanning not working via the hardware buttons or connected printers not printing after a scanned barcode, please ensure that Enterprise browser is configured correctly, by opening the app drawer, opening the "DataWedge" app, and ensuring that Enterprise Browser is added to the "Disabled Apps List" as shown here.
Hit the 3 Vertical Dots. Followed by "Settings" and "Disabled App List"
This is how these pages need to look for optimal function.
